Sustainability of each and every
project is one of the paramount priorities of our team. In connection with
that, formulation of Core Group is a necessity. Since there is an existing
committee on Health, it was easier for us to select members from it. And
fortunately, there was one volunteer.
The goals for the said activity
includes: first, to increase the knowledge of each ranger regarding their roles
and responsibilities. For the Red Rangers, H.E.A.R.T.
which stands for House-to-House, Educate, Active Model, Record and
Report, Train. For the White Rangers, it is C.U.R.E. which stands for C,
Utilize herbal medicines, Record and Refer, Educate. Second, is to enhance the leadership skills of the member
through team building. They were given newspaper and task to dress up one of
the member as to what a ranger look to them. The team eventually came up with a
Ranger clad in long sleeves, carrying blood pressure apparatus with stethoscope.
They presented it via role play. They perceived ranger as someone who can cater
basic needs of the people like taking Blood Pressure correctly and accurately
and can give health teachings on the preventive aspect of Hypertension and
Acute Respiratory Infections. Last but not the least, is to secure partnership
by oath taking with the barangay captain as the presiding officer.
